Toy Train
Toy train, officially known as the Darjeeling
Himalayan Railway (DHR), is one of the main attractions of the region. The
train runs on 600 millimetres wide track with a few cabins which is commensurate
giving it the name `Toy Train`. Narrow Gauge trains are used to travel to
hill stations in some parts of India. The 88 Kms journey through the beautiful
terrain from Siliguri to Darjeeling is the most magnificent train journey of
the narrow gauge. The DHR has been declared as a World Heritage Site by
the UNESCO.
Trekking
Trekking in the Darjeeling Hills began almost a
century ago with the setting up of the first organised trekking route along the
Sangalila range. It was the first in India. The trek begins in Darjeeling and
ends in Phalut passing through Maneybhanjyang, Tonglu, Sandakphu. There are
trekker huts all along the route to Sandakphu which are managed by the Darjeeling

Water Rafting
The river Teesta and Rangeet are famous for the
